There are several great spots to view the sea of clouds in Suxian District, Chenzhou City.
Suxian Ridge
Chenzhou, with many mountains and waters, was known as the “18th Blessed Land Under Heaven” in the Tang Dynasty. Each scenic spot here has a long history and mysterious legend.
People in Chenzhou like to go hiking and exercising at Suxian Ridge in the early morning. The sun emerges from the sea of clouds, dyeing half of the eastern sky golden. The national women’s volleyball team once trained in Suxian Ridge.
Wugai Mountain
Wugai Mountain, located 45 kilometers southeast of Chenzhou City, is one of the Lingnan Mountains, with towering peaks. The mountain top is shrouded in clouds, fog, rain, dew, or snow all year round.
The snow-white clouds roll and collide in the air like waves at the Wugai Mountain.
Feitian Mountain
The Feitian Mountain in the early morning is enveloped in clouds and mist, while the Cuijiang River ripples with golden waves under the sunlight.
When the sun rises, it casts a red glow over the earth. The sea of clouds is also dyed red and gold.
