The Mangshan Gorge rafting was officially launched on June 29, attracting more than 1,000 visitors to experience it, plus the canyon rafting in Jiulong River National Forest Park and Reshui River rafting in Rucheng County, Wanhuayan Cave rafting in Beihu District, which will boost the “cool economy” in Chenzhou City. 

 

 

The untamed rafting river has a total length of 9.8 kilometers, with a vertical drop of 298 meters. The whole trip takes 1.5 to 2 hours. As a landmark product of Mangshan summer tourism, the rafting project has received more than 100,000 tourists since its operation in 2021.

 

 

 

The canyon rafting in Jiulong River National Forest Park has a total length of about 4 kilometers, which takes about 2 hours. It passes through dozens of bends, rapids and high-drop sections. Visitors can not only enjoy the thrill of braving the waves but also feast their eyes on the spectacular glacial mortar. 

 

 

 

Reshui River rafting, a combination of hot springs and rafting, has a total length of 4.39 kilometers. After enjoying the thrill of rafting, tourists can bathe in the hot spring in green forests. 

 

 

The Wanhuayan cave rafting, hailed as the world’s number one cave rafting, has a distance of 1,800 meters with a drop of 36 meters. Along the way, it will pass through many bends. Tourists can experience the thrilling drifting and enjoy the wonderful views in the cave. 

 

 

 

Yangtian Lake Grassland has entered the most beautiful season of the year. With an altitude of over 1,300 meters and an average temperature of 20 degrees Celsius in summer, it’s a cool summer resort. 

 

 

Recently, the scenic area launched a half-price discount for students with admission cards for high school and college entrance examinations.  

 

The county government of Guidong County plans to launch a mountain wellness and summer tourist route, connecting Red tourist attractions, key homestay villages and traditional Chinese medicine bases. 

 

 

Guidong County is located at an average altitude of about 900 meters with an average temperature of 23 degrees Celsius in summer. It is one of the most popular summer tourist destinations in Hunan Province. There are more than 900 homestay inns with 26,000 beds in the county.
