In recent years, Hunan has promoted the application of new and clean energy in the field of water transportation. Traditional energy ships are generally powered by diesel, and the exhaust gas generated during operation can cause pollution to the water surface and surrounding environment, as well as discomfort to tourists. The two “Changli” ships that made their maiden voyage this time are purely electrically propelled by lithium battery, with a length of 28 meters and a width of 6.5 meters. Each ship carries 99 passengers at a maximum speed of 25 kilometers per hour.

“Compared to traditional fuel-powered ships, new energy tourist passenger ships, with zero emissions, zero pollution, low noise, low vibration, low operating costs, are safe and comfortable,” said the head.

The two passenger ships slowly sailed through the Bianjiang River, with numerous scenic spots along the way, such as Longhua Mountain, Anling Academy, Ancient Camphor Tree, and “Yixiantian”. Among them, the stone inscription of “Chang Li Jing Ci” by Han Yu, one of the eight great masters of the Tang and Song dynasties, amazed tourists.

“The new energy passenger ship is environmentally friendly and comfortable, and I had a great travel experience,” said a tourist.

In recent years, Yongxing County has made efforts to develop the Bianjiang River basin, with the annual planned investment of 165 million yuan in 2024, and a total of 1334.9 million yuan completed.
