Ancient towers built in past dynasties are mostly brick towers, while the Egong Stone Tower is all made of stones, which is really rare. 

 

The tower is 18 meters high, with eight sides and five floors, and the arches on each floor are carved with stone plaques, but the characters on them have been illegible due to wind and rain erosion.
