Tourism comprehensive income amounted to 947 million with 30.17% increase

 It was learned from Chenzhou Tourism and External Affairs Bureau that Chenzhou achieved a new tourism record this year. According to the data, 2.18 million visitors came to Chenzhou with 32.83% increasing rate compared with last year. Among them, there were 0.37 million tourists accommodated in Chenzhou, up 9.96%, and 18.61 million of one-day trip tourists, up 38.76%. All of those helped Chenzhou hit the comprehensive tourism income with 947 million yuan, increasing by 30.17%.

Self-driving and self-service travel kept increasing

Thanks to the nice weather, the long term holiday and toll-free policy for small wagon cars, the self-driving tourists increased a lot compared with the previous years. Especially the tourists of Guangdong, Hong Kong and other near-by provinces which are near Chenzhou city increased greatly. Took Suxianling, Mangshan mountain, Dongjiang Lake, Longnv hot spring landscapes for example, the self-driving tourists accounted for 40% among all, some even higher than 80%.

High speed railway plays significance function on the improvement

Wuhan-Zhengzhou high speed railway was placed to operation on September 28, 2012, which greatly shortens the time from Chenzhou to Zhengzhou and Xi’an city. Thanks to that high speed railway, more tourists from Xi’an and Zhengzhou city will come to Chenzhou gradually. According to the data, during the golden week, 20000 tourists traveled by Wuhan-guangzhou high speed railway and visited Chenzhou.

More village travels in Chenzhou

Chenzhou government took more attention to upgrade the village travel in 2012. Some five-star village tourism regions and high-level agri-tourism spots were reconstructed and upgraded in Chenzhou city.
