Last month, experts from Hunan Housing and Urban & Rural Construction Ministry investigated Chenzhou and took the preliminary supervision of Chenzhou establishment work on a national garden city, where they highly affirmed Chenzhou’s achievements on the construction; meanwhile they pointed out some weak points during the process and presented some suggestions.

Expert Zhou Shulan stated that the planning should be figured out first. The green land and green road planning need to be worked out to combine the landscapes of Rucheng, Zixing with others. People concerned should follow the standards of a national garden city to complete scientific research institutions and scientific research, giving full play to the role of scientific and technical personnel, by listening to expert’s opinions. The garden quality level needs to be upgraded to forge the fine project by seizing the good chance of trees planting in this winter and next spring.

Liang Zuhua commented that more attention should be paid to the construction and protection of old city and green lands.

Huang Ze pointed out that it was lacking in highlights for Chenzhou greening work, and the garden allocation, side slope treatment and mountain park construction should be upgraded.

Ren Wei suggested that Chenzhou’ s fame could be popularized by attending more city awarding competitions.

Yi Jihong stated that the problem of the uneven distribution of green lands should be solved by strengthening the net construction. More bicycle lines, pavements, and avenues need be established. Better accessory infrastructures should be facilitated to the schools, hospitals, markets, etc. in the new city areas.

Tian Sen suggested that the garbage disposal plants should be expanded in Chenzhou city. The garbage classification, resource recovery and other recycling work have to be launched at the soonest time in order to decrease more rubbish.

Qing Shan said that it was lack of greening plants for city sewage farm and some buildings had still not removed along the river, all of which should be upgraded immediately.
