It was learned that 500mu forestation has been completed on the sides of the section of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau express way in Xifengdu, Suxian district, Chenzhou city. If you have ever driven along the way in summer and autumn, you must be amazed by the gorgeous sceneries of green trees and red leaves in this section.

It was introduced by staff of Suxian Forestry Bureau that purple shale, calcareous rocks and limestone are recognized worldwide as the most difficult land for forestation. There are about 21000mu purple shale areas in Xifengdu town covering 13.47% of its total areas and 30% of Suxian district are total purple shale areas. Suxiann Forestry Bureau applied a new forestation mode as “cedar wood plus Chinese tallow tree plus locust” to promote the forestation work, which helped to fulfill 3000mu forestation in Qifengdu till this December. Currently, the newly planted trees are growing well with the effective conservation of soil and water.
