It was learned from some key travel agencies of Chenzhou city, many people have figured out their travel plan before May Day. The hottest tourism destinations of short term travel for Chenzhou people were some scenic spots in Guangdong and Guangxi province.

Because of the earthquake, H7N9, limited time, and some other negative influences, more Chenzhou people chose to spent their May Day Holiday in Guangdong and Guangxi province where were near Chenzhou city.

It was introduced by the staff of one of the travel agencies that the favorite scenic spots were Hailing Island and Qingyuan in Guangdong province and Guilin and Beihai in Guangxi province. Especially for Hailing Island, there were just a few vacancies available for the trip on April 29, 2013.
Compared with hot Hailing Island tour, the scenic spots located in Sichuan province was with rare consult. The key reason for this cold situation was the earthquake happened there days earlier. Concerned for safety, the travel agencies did not suggest clients to go to Sichuan province especially the areas near earthquake belt during the holiday either.

As introduced by the staff of some travel agencies that the key clients for them were individual travelers and no department tourist groups available for them in the first half year.

Some insiders considered that was because of the thrift enforcement handled by central government and strict working style rectification carried out in Chenzhou city.

Compared with the decreasing numbers of department tourist groups, more and more suburb resident tourist groups were available for their upgrading living condition.
