When the reporters arrived at the Yinbin Square, many beautiful crape myrtle flowers were decorated there to welcome the visit of tourists. It was introduced that the first crape myrtle flower festival would be held in Linwu county from this August 3 to August 25.

Crape myrtle flower is the county flower of Linwu. More than 50000 crape myrtle flowers were planted there, especially for Tanhua park where was gathered with about 65 breeds of 10 species. Tanhua park was covered with 0.22 million square meters where was one of the favorite leisure places for Linwu people on their spare time.

It was reported there were some theme activities as calligraphy, painting, poem, specialty, wedding celebration exhibition, etc. would be held during the festival. Those activities would greatly help to show the achievements of Linwu county’s society and economy in recent years and expectation in future. At the meantime, the projects construction, investment attraction, cultural communication, tourism industry, etc. were promoted well.
