Exploration trip

National mine park- Hunan Baoshan Mine Park was opened to public at the same day of opening ceremony of 2013 China Chenzhou International Leisure Tourism and Culture Festival. Baoshan Mine Park is a 4A level national park located in Guiyang county, Chenzhou city.

The reporters followed the interpreter to start an explorative trip in down hole of Baoshan Mine Park. The reporters traveled from modern mining area to ancient mining site by the small train of mine. From this trip, they were surprised to find the great improvement of mining skills from ancient times to modern era.

When the reporters arrived at the exploration area, they were scared about the risky trip ahead, but were curious about it as well. Many vivid dangerous scenes were set along this trip, together with the gorgeous decoration.

After this excited exploration, the reporters arrived at 3D annular lounge. They could wear 3D glasses to experiencing the mining work with the workers, which helped them to learn more historic details of the mining development.

The whole exploration trip lasted about one hour.

Baoshan mountain was named as Furong mountain. Its mining industry was started from Qin and Han Dynasty. Its most flourish times were in Tang and Song Dynasty. It was one of the main coin production bases in ancient times. According to the planning, Baoshan National Mine Park was with 5.21 square kilometers area, investing with 470 million yuan and covering 1.7 square kilometers land. The key parts for the park were “one center and seven zones”. They are one service center and seven zones as exploration, open stope, smelting, mining, training base, mine exhibition and mine landscape zone.
