“Fish king”weighing 49kgs auctioned 80,000 yuan in the opening ceremony

It was reported that the opening ceremony of 2013 Hunan- Dongjiang lake fishing activity was held on October 28, 2013 in Zhongdong fishery, Bailang town, Chenzhou city. Some leaders of Zixing government and Zixing municipal CPPCC attended the ceremony.

A wonderful artistic performance was presented by Chenzhou Huagu Opera Troupe. Songs, sketches, special programs as Sichuan opera face, fishing contest, etc. were attracted the audience’s eyes.

After the performance, large-scale finishing activities were held in the fishery. Just one net placed by the worker, more than 5000kgs fishes were collected. A sturgeon weighing 49kms won the title of “fish king”of this net. The fishmongers fought tensely in the auction afterward, finally the one who auctioned 80,000yuan won the “fish king” successfully.

It was introduced by the principal of the fishery that 15,000 tons of fishes were produced in Zixing city annually, which helped to increase the immigrants’ income with more than one hundred million yuan. At the meantime, more businesses were cooperated with other fisheries companies to introduce more kinds of fishes to be fed in Dongjiang lake. Guangzhou, Changsha and other big cities were with hot demand for these high quality fishes, which not just help to upgrade the popularity of Dongjiang fish, but increase local people’s income as well.
