Along with the improvement of society, people’s ideas are opener and freer, so more people choose to go somewhere else to enjoy the spring festival. It was learned from some travel agents that it was hot reservation for Spring Festival tourism recently and some lines were fully booked.

One of the staff of Chenzhilv Travel Agent- Tan Xu said to the reporters that because 2014 New Year holiday was just one day, many people who were not capable to travel outside choose to travel in the Spring Festival instead. The cost of tourism was increased accordingly along with the hot reservation, especially for the days from Chinese New Year Eve and lunar January 4, 2014. As stated by Tan, the cost for the travel lines was fluctuated everyday for the limited ticket vacancy and increasing hotel cost. Taking Hainan travel line for example, the cost for 5-day travel was around RMB 1600- 2000 in ordinary time, but now was rose to RMB 3000-4000. It was learned from most of the travel agents that the reason for such increase was not only for the new “tourism law” but also for the limited travel resource. So later reservation, the cost would be even higher. It was estimated to be back to normal level after lunar January 8, 2014 ( February 7, 2014).

It was also learned that due to the cold weather, many people choose to enjoy the holiday in some warmer areas as Hainan province, Xiamen city, Southeast Asia, etc. According to the data, travel lines to Hainan province, Xiamen city, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia were fully booked. Currently, some lines to Hongkong and Macau are available.
