It was learned from Rucheng Tourism Office that 3.53 million tourists were accepted by Rucheng county in 2013, up 32.01%. The total tourism income was amounted to 1.61 billion yuan, up 27.44%. All were new records for Rucheng county’s tourism industry. Rucheng county seized the chance to forge “hot spring city of China”and achieved such great results.

In recent years, Rucheng tried great efforts on the promotion of tourism. Followed with the idea of tourism improvement, Rucheng county aimed to be established as a travel resort in south China. It played the advantages of hot spring well to forge as“hot spring city of China”, “national landscape”, “national 5A landscape”, and“national hot spring travel resort”.

On the basis of this tourism development, Rucheng county issued “general planning for Rucheng county tourism improvement” and launched series projects, such as Reshui hot spring, Jiulongjiang national forest park, Reshui Tanghe, etc. Rucheng county tried many ways to collect funds to promote the construction of tourism projects. 65 million yuan has been placed on the five-star Junlian International Hotel. Longwangmiao wetland park which was invested with 70 million yuan was on the final construction stage. Rewen road which was with 70 million yuan investment has been finished. More funds were placed on some upgrading projects of historic culture city construction and parks. Along with the construction of expressways as Xiarong expressway and Yanru expressway, Rucheng county placed more attention on the cooperation with some famous landscapes and travel agents to introduce more travel lines national wide. Rucheng county signed the special line promotion agreement with Shenzhen Kanghui Travel Service Co., Ltd.

Moreover, Rucheng county paid more attention on the propaganda work to upgrade its fame national even international wide. National key culture relic protection sites, national 4A travel landscape, red tourism landscapes, special tourism towns and villages, star level rural tourism destinations, and etc. were promoted in Rucheng county. By attending some tourism promotion conferences, exhibitions and expos, holding relative tourism festivals and activities and publishing some travel brochures, Rucheng county became more famous national wide.
