Thanks to the nice weather during 2014 Chinese New Year holiday, Guidong county’s tourism industry reached a good start in the beginning of 2014. It was learned from Guidong Tourism Bureau that 29,000 visitors came to Guidong county to enjoy their holiday with an increase of 26.1%. The comprehensive tourism income was amounted to 14.1906 million yuan, up 26.2%.
Self-driving, hiking, rural travel, ecological travel and some other travel products were hot for Guidong tourism. According to the data, 65% tourists chose self-driving to visit the county. Some new ecological travel lines as tea and bamboo sightseeing garden, Chinese medicine garden, flower and plants gallery, upgraded landscapes as botanic garden, Santaishan park, rural travel lines, outdoor activities, red tourism destinations, and etc. attracted many visitors to spend a nice time in Guidong county during that holiday.

It was introduced by the principal of Guidong Tourism Bureau that during this “golden week”, more enhanced supervision work was carried out by the bureau to grant a ordered and safe condition to the tourists.
