It was reported that Fang Xianzhi- Director of Hunan Provincial Office of Land and Resources led an inspection team to visit Chenzhou city recently. Fang listened to the working report of “first three-year plan for Xiangjiang river pollution control”and highly affirmed pollution control work handled out by Chenzhou city.

As one of the sources of Xiangjiang river, Chenzhou city paid much more attention on following aspects on implementing “three-year plan”: comprehensive pollution control on key areas and key industries, adjustment of industrial structure, qualification of environmental access conditions, promotion of treatment of industrial wastewater, comprehensive management of tailings and mines, prevention of proliferation of historical migration of heavy metals, and etc.

The inspection team visited the construction sites of Donghe river and Xihe river heavy metal comprehensive and Sanshiliuwan comprehensive renovation project, checked relative data and listened to the working reports on-site. In the briefing, the inspection team highly affirmed the renovation work for Xiangjiang river and suggested to accelerate the construction of some pollution control projects and handle some upgrading projects for the aging equipments.

Fang said it is a difficult and durable work for environmental protection. Chenzhou city should pay attention to protect people’s legal rights on the process of handling environmental protection work and enhance the supervision on environment pollution. At the meantime, Chenzhou city should upgrade the work on Dongjiang lake protection and the integration of mine resources.
