A harvest season for He Xiaomei’s cherry now! When reporters arrived at Qingxi village, Zixing city on April 23, 2014, the cute cherries attracted all their attention. Some visitors were enjoying and picking up the cherry there. It was introduced by He Xiaomei-owner of the cherry garden that cherry is a northern fruit which not so easily to survive in southern area. He introduced some cherry seeds from Shandong province in 2007. After four years hard work of He, the cherry plants bore fruits successfully. With the help of He Xiaomei, over 10 farmers’ families of the village were trying to plant cherry there, which would help to increase the farmers’ income if they succeeded in near future.
