It was reported that the seventh Mount Mang Alpine Azalea Festival was launched on May 22, 2014 in Yizhang county.

CCTV’s documentary“A Bite of China 2” introduced the unique food of Mount Mang, which helped to raise a new hot wave to travel to Mount Mang. On this point, the seventh alpine azalea festival was with the theme of “taste of Mount Mang”. In the opening ceremony, a dance favored with the topic of rice cake of bracken fern was presented to the audience and impressed them with another beauty of Mountain Mang’s food. Most of the visitors bought some rice cake of bracken fern as gifts for friends.

On the other hand, the festival focused on the Mount Mang’s ecological resources to attract more attention from visitors. International photography contest on azalea, drifting, public activity on protection of endangered species of Mount Mang and some other theme activities were held on the opening ceremony.

Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended the opening ceremony.
