It was reported that a briefing conference for comments on educational practices of the Party’s mass line was held in Xianyindu, Yongxing county. As learned from the conference, a new scenic belt project of Xishui river would be launched there to construct an original ecological tourism gallery with Xiangyindu features. A Hunan provincial demonstration village of new rural construction- Baolou village has been forged there successfully.

It was introduced that the new project would pass through Xiangyindu town, covering 20km long area, which would become the core part of the town’s demonstration belt of“two-oriented” society construction. This project was firstly presented by Yuan Weixiang- Secretary of Yongxing County Party Committee in the 2013 Economic Working Conference. Baokou village and Songbai village projects were launched in 2013. The renovation of Xishui river and construction for the scenic belt were covered into the key development strategy and core part of “two-oriented” society demonstration belt by Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government in 2014. It was introduced that the belt project would be divided to two phases of three plates as “idyllic scenery”, “land of Utopia” and “ southern Chinese riverside town”. Seven subprojects as upgrading of village, renovation of river, greening, complex pipeline, urban roads, and etc. accounting for 2 billion yuan would be carried out for the project. Followed the principals of overall development of urban and rural areas, resource protection, upgrading of well-being condition, heritage of culture and marketing of county, it aimed to forge Xishui river to be a famous river belts, flood control scenic belt, leisure belt and cultural demonstration belt in the inter-provincial areas of Hunan and Guangdong province.
