Opening ceremony for the activity of leisure and self-driving named“traveling around Chenzhou city” & “driving through 5 countries of ASEAN” was launched in Chenzhou city

The last car for forming the eight Chinese characters was entering the square

It was learned that 341 cars formed 8 Chinese characters “林中之城，休闲之都” (means city in the forest, leisure city) on July 12, 2014 on the opening ceremony for the activity of leisure and self-driving named“traveling around Chenzhou city” & “driving through 5 countries of ASEAN”. This shape of 8 characters became a new Kniess record of “Slogan Composed by Most Cars”

After the opening ceremony, some fans of self-driving travel from 5 provinces of south China would gather together in Chenzhou city and establish a motorcade to start their trip of“driving through 5 countries of ASEAN”. This trip would last 22 days to drive through Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and some other countries of ASEAN.

It was learned that this activity was sponsored by Chenzhou Government and undertaken by Chenzhou Travel and Foreign Affair Bureau. It was purposely to promote the annual self-driving tourism within 200kms radius. Because the self-driving travel helps to combine tourism culture and automobile culture together, it was an innovation and useful try for promotion of Chinese tourism and its marketing, and it was also significant to improve the healthy development of tourism and leisure industry and accelerate the leisure system construction.

In current years, Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government paid great efforts on carrying the projects of “transportation construction and city’s upgrading”to improve the transportation condition and environment condition of Chenzhou city. All the districts and counties of Chenzhou city were facilitated with expressways, and the A and above level landscapes, large scale villas and village tourism spots were facilitated with public buses, which were helpful to grant the self-driving tourism with sound transportation condition. Chenzhou city has become a sound travel destination of self-driving tourism in the Pearl River Delta and Changzhutan city cluster area.
