It was reported that the third China Feitian mountain hiking challenge & beer, music and tent festival was held in Feitian Mountain National Geological Park on Oct. 25, 2014. More than 2000 outdoor fans from 20 delegations all over China hiked among Danxia landform sceneries and enjoyed their funs with beer, music and camp.

Compared with earlier two times, this festival was with more optimizations and innovations on the arrangement of routes. The competition group members started from the core scenery of Feitian mountain- tiger village, then passed through over 50kilometers Danxia landform sceneries, and ended in Shifo temple. From this journey, the contestants could enjoy all the beauties of Feitian mountain.

“The key point for attending this outdoor activity is for enjoying physical exercise and relaxing myself , rather than for winning titles” introduced by “tiger”who was over 50 years old and attended the contest for three times. Though he never won the titles, he finished the whole journey. As he said, it is “just for fun”.

In order to make the activity to be more interesting, some experiencing items as field survival, lighting with magnesium stick, rope falling from high attitude palisades, swimming with raft, and etc. were held during the festival. All the tour pals of experiencing group enjoyed the beautiful landscapes of Feitian mountain as well as the funs of activities.

Once the hiking challenge finished, dark was coming and the night party was just started. Music, beer and performances led the tour pals into another carnival.

It was introduced that this festival was sponsored by Hunan Mountaineering Association and Chenzhou Sports Bureau. It was purposely to establish a brand mass sports event, combine outdoor experiencing, sports, culture and tourism together, promote the healthy concept of fitness and outdoor competition, reach the harmonious interactivity between people and nature, and popularize Feitian mountain as a famous outdoor resort for all tour pals.
