It was learned from Hunan Tourism Bureau that Feitian Mountain National Geological Park was established as national 4A landscape successfully.

Because of its unique Danxia geology, elegant natural scenery and long-standing historical culture, Feitian Mountain attracted thousands of tourists and was approved as national geological park by the State Land Resource Ministry in 2001. Due to the interaction among the developers which were introduced into the initial stage development of Feitian Mountain, its development was badly affected for some time. Once its resources integration finished in 2011, the management committee of Feitian Mountain took active actions on upgrading of interior management, marketing, investment attraction and improvement of infrastructures, which greatly helped to expand its popularity and attract more tourists as well. Feitian Mountain launched its establishment work of national 4A landscape in 2014, and carried out the work on upgrading of infrastructure condition, tourism transportation condition, tourism safety, comprehensive management, protection of resource and environment, and etc. Thanks to all the work, it was approved to be national 4A landscape successfully.
