Hsianghualite, typical rocks(ores) producing area of Shizhuyuan metals ore filed, and granite landform of Mount Mang of Chenzhou city were enrolled into the list

It was reported that currently Hunan Provincial Land and Resource Department released a list of 518 Hunan provincial and above level relics and released a list of 10 world-class geological relics as well. Hsianghualite, typical rocks(ores) producing area of Shizhuyuan metals ore filed, and granite landform of Mount Mang of Chenzhou city were enrolled into the list of Hunan provincial world-class geological relics. 

After two-year systematic investigation, Hunan Provincial Land and Resource Department figured out geoheritage regionalization for the first time. Wuling mountain area, Xufeng mountain area, Nanling mountain area, Luoxiao mountain area, central Hunan hilly area, and Dongting lake plain area are divided as the 6 characteristic geological relic areas. From the aspect of landform, over 80% of the main geological relics are located in the mountainous areas, while rest is in hilly and plain areas. 69 main geological relics of Chenzhou city were enrolled into the list, covering 10.1% of the total of Hunan province, ranking the top place among all other cities.

It was learned that based on the results of Hunan provincial geological relics investigation, Chenzhou city would figure out the protection and utilization planning, and carry out the geological parks construction work accordingly. At the meantime, some files would be issued to enhance the reservation of geological relics.
