The opening ceremony of 2015 China (Hunan) Red Tourism and Culture Festival & China (Guidong) Fitness Leisure Summer Festival was held in Guidong county on July 28, 2015. Over one thousand people attended the ceremony. 

Excellent performance of the opening ceremony

Military regulations gather the soul of the military, iron army depends on iron disciplines. In 1928, the era giant- Mao Zedong issued the significant “three rules of discipline, six points of notice” in Guidong county where is with the highest altitude of Hunan province. Today, the opening ceremony of 2015 China (Hunan) Red Tourism and Culture Festival & China (Guidong) Fitness Leisure Summer Festival was held there.

The opening ceremony was started from the excited drum music and acrobatic dance. Abundant shows as historical drama “soul of the military regulation”, red folk song rap “flame of the mass line”, song and dance “I want to go to a beautiful place”, passionate song “a song flies out from Guidong”, and etc. were performed in the opening ceremony, which granted all audience with a visual and audio feast.

Luo Dihui- Executive Deputy Director of the State Red Tourism Work Coordination Group Office, Xu Yousheng- Member of Hunan Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Minister of Propaganda Department of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, He Baoxiang- Deputy Governor of Hunan Provincial Government, Major General Liu Jianxin- Deputy Political Commissar of Hunan Provincial Military Region were present at the opening ceremony. Some other leaders and honorable guests from the central, Hunan provincial and Chenzhou municipal departments, alliance members of cultural tourism economic belt of great east Hunan, some representatives from the counties nearby, travel agents and merchants, local cadres and people attended the opening ceremony. Over 1000 people were present at the opening ceremony. Xu Yousheng announced the opening of the festival.

Luo Dihui- Executive Deputy Director of the State Red Tourism Work Coordination Group Office delivered a speech on the ceremony. Luo stated that it is significant to inherit the red genes, carry forward red culture, strengthen special education effect of “three real”, and promote the development of Hunan province’s tourism especially for the red tourism by holding the red tourism and culture festival in Guidong county. Luo sincerely hoped Hunan province can take the best advantages of its red resources and promote the further innovative development of its red tourism to contribute more to Hunan economic and social development.

“Hunan is a piece of red revolution land. Guidong county is the issuing place of the first military regulations, the first launching place of the red army’s long march, and the birthplace of mass line that it is with deep red culture connotation. It is not only to review the revolutionary history, accept red baptism, inherit red gene, propaganda red culture, but also indicate the unique charm of red cultural tourism resource of Guidong county, build the cultural tourism economic belt of great east Hunan and promote the integrated development of cultural tourism of Hunan province by holding the red culture and tourism festival in Guidong county.” said He Baoxiang- Deputy Governor of Hunan Provincial Government.

It was introduced by Zhang Zhiheng- Director of Hunan Tourism Bureau that there are 24 national typical red tourism landscapes as Shaoshan, Huaminglou, Yuelu mountain, Juzizhou, and etc. available in Hunan province. Chenzhou is honored as “city in the forest”. Guidong county tries its best efforts to promote the integration of red tourism with ecological tourism, cultural tourism and folk tourism, which helped to draw a beautiful blueprint of “full view Guidong, regional tourism, and happiness”.

In the opening ceremony, Luo Dihui- Executive Deputy Director of the State Red Tourism Work Coordination Group Office delivered a speech there and awarded the plaques of “former site of ‘three rules of discipline, six points of notice’” and “red tourism reading room” to Guidong county. Major General Liu Jianxin- Deputy Political Commissar of Hunan Provincial Military Region awarded the plaque of “Chenzhou Guidong First Military Regulations Square (the issuing place of “three rules of discipline, six points of notice”)- “the State national defense education base ” which was issued by the State National Defense Education Office. Zhang Zhiheng- Director of Hunan Tourism Bureau delivered a speech on the opening ceremony and awarded the plaque of “the pilot county of regional tourism development” which was the first one issued by provincial tourism department in China.

After the opening ceremony, all the leaders and guests visited the former site of “three rules of discipline, six points of notice”, Longevity Palace, the first launching place of Red Army’s long march, Tang’s dwellings, the Memorial Hall of the Red Army’s Revolutionary Activities, and some other red tourism scenic spots of Guidong county.

As one of the most important red tourism events of Hunan province, China (Hunan) Red Tourism and Culture Festival was kept being handled for 12 consecutive years and now becomes one of the famous tourism brands of China. 2015 China (Hunan) Red Tourism and Culture Festival & China (Guidong) Fitness Leisure Summer Festival would be held in Guidong county from this April to August, which was with the theme of “red Guidong, fitness heaven, summer resort”.

The festival includes “1+4” series activities. 1 refers to opening ceremony of 2015 China (Hunan) Red Tourism and Culture Festival & China (Guidong) Fitness Leisure Summer Festival; and 4 refers to supporting activities as press conference for 2015 China (Hunan) Red Tourism and Culture Festival & China (Guidong) Fitness Leisure Summer Festival and the establishment of great east Hunan tourism economy cooperation alliance, launching ceremony for the self-driving tour to great east Hunan“reviewing red memories, traveling around great east Hunan”, series activities for the large-scale outdoor event of “reviewing red memories, traveling around great east Hunan”, educational seminar for “inheriting red genes, promoting ‘four comprehensives’”, and investment attraction conference for the great east Hunan tourism economy cooperation alliance.

2015 China (Hunan) Red Tourism and Culture Festival & China (Guidong) Fitness Leisure Summer Festival was cosponsored by Propaganda Department of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Hunan Tourism Bureau, CPC History Research Office of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government. It was undertaken by Propaganda Department of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee, Chenzhou Tourism and Foreign Affairs Bureau, CPC History Office of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee, Chenzhou Sports Bureau, Guidong County Party Committee and Guidong Government.
