It was reported that on October 29, 2015, relative crew of Chenzhou economy and tourism departments had a symposium with Japanese Shibata visiting mission who was invited to attend Chezhou international Tourism and Culture Festival. They shared some ideas on promoting the cooperation of commerce and tourism.

The two parties discussed some details with each other, especially on the operation of hot spring tourism. The Mayor of Shibata expressed his understanding on the hot spring consumption of Chinese people and Japanese people and the difference of operation models, and also shared new information and ideas under market economic trend. He stated their party should learn Chenzhou city’s expansion ideas on the tourism development, and integrate tourism resources to combine tourism industry and other industries together. The representatives of Chenzhou tourism department stated that they would introduce the advanced operation concepts of hot spring business into Chenzhou city, utilize the differences to form new selling points, and then drive the relative industries’ development by hot spring industry.

Li Ting- Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City hosted the symposium. He said more attention should be paid on the tourism industry’s development of the whole city, not just the marketing of the landscapes and scenic spots; the planning should be figured out on the basis of city’s practical condition and utilization of characteristic resources; and different investment models should be carried out as well. Chenzhou city and Shibata city started a new cooperation stage with each other and integrated the ideas on promoting the development of hot spring tourism industry by holding this symposium. Li sincerely hoped that more cooperation would be reached between two parties in near future.
