It was reported that “Image of China, Beautiful Rucheng” International Arts Festival was held in Rucheng Jiulongjiang National Forest Park from Jan. 13-14, 2016. Series activities as reopening of Jiulongjiang National Forest Park after disaster, folk arts performance, incense dragon performance, arts collection, and etc. which were held during the festival attracted a lot of visitors from Hunan, Guangdong, and Jiangxi province.
On the opening day, the inaugurating ceremony of “Yao and She Minority Park” was firstly held there. In Yao and She Minority Museum, different agricultural tools are well reserved there and some buildings are recovered with the shape of stockade, all of which comprehensively and systematically show the long and rich cultural history of Yao and She minority and magnify their features and highlights. After 6-month post-disaster reconstruction, Rucheng Jiulongjiang National park was reopened to the public. Currently, new wooden trestle has been paved on Qinglong Canyon where is the core landscape of the park. It does not only guarantee the safety of the visitors, but also recover the ecological beauty of the landscape. Some honorable guests watched the incense dragon performance on Jiulong White Tea Farm where is Hunan province 5-star rural tourism resort. Some artists who attended the festival visited Wenta tower, embroidery workshop, ancient ancestral temple, Taiji pavilion, and some other scenic spots as well. Some of their works were displayed in the exhibition hall.
It was introduced that the investigation team of Chinese Oil Painting Arts Seminar decided to set “Production Workshop of Chinese Imagery Oil Painting”, “Chinese Imagery Oil Painting Seminar”, “Chinese Imagery Arts Gallery”, and some other academic institutions in Rucheng county after their investigation trip to Jiulong White Tea Farm and Yao minority folk street. It was purposely to attract more artists to create more excellent works in Rucheng county.
