In recent days, a large amount of visitors travelled to Rucheng Jiulongjiang National Forest Park, Reshui Hot Spring, Feishuizhai, and other scenic spots of Rucheng county. The popular tourism of Rucheng county showed the great charm to visitors and new historic records were set in the scenic spots of the county. According to the statistics, 86,900 visitors were received by Rucheng county during 2016 Spring Festival, which contributed over 40million yuan tourism income to the county, up 16.19% and 15.33% respectively.

Followed the development orientation of “establishing modern rural hot spring county and creating ecological highland, Neo-Confucianism holy land, and fitness place” and relied on the advantages of tourism resources on hot spring, Neo-Confucianism, ecology, red tourism, and etc., Rucheng county figured out “General planning for Rucheng county’s tourism industry development” and “orientation and planning for tourism industry of Nuanshui tourism area”. It placed more attention on “one core and two wings (Reshui and Nuanshui)” to accelerate the construction of key scenic spots as Neo-Confucianism ancient town, Chang’an ecological town, Reshui hot spring small town, Luoquan hot spring tourism resort, Jinshan ancient village, and etc. It also carried out the infrastructure construction for Liangtan dock, Shuiliang highway, and other key projects. All of those greatly helped to promote the implementation of development strategy of popular tourism. It highlighted the development of tourism lines by paying great efforts on launching series projects as Chang’an Ecological Tourism Cultural Industrial Park, Jinshan ancient village, and etc., which helped to improve the upgrading of tourism landscapes.

In order to promote the popular tourism, Rucheng county paid great attention on the construction of supporting facilities and scenic spots as well. It figured out the planning of tourism highway construction, and launched or carried out the construction of some high standard highways for some landscapes as Reshui hot spring, Nuanshui Luoquan, Deshou Hill, Huangjinxian, and etc. Junlian International Hotel, Reshui Visitor Center, and some other hotels were promoted well. Tanghe Inn, Reshui Yinxiang, Requan Hotel, and some other characteristics hotels were built there. Longteng Jinshan Villa, Jiulong Baicha Villa, Songxi Tea Farm, Reshui drifting, Baishiyan Villa, and some other four-star or above level rural tourism scenic spots were established there as well. Yanshou Qingshizhai’s establishment of Hunan provincial red tourism landscape, Jinshan ancient village’s establishment of national 3A landscape, construction of Rulian Tea Farm, and other projects were being promoted there.

At the meantime, Rucheng county paid more attention on the marketing of tourism. It organized some delegations to attend the tourism fair held in Guangzhou, Xiamen, Wuhan, Guilin and other places; carried out “March 3rd” large scale folk culture festival, finals for model contest of New Silk Road (Hunan section), mountainous outdoor event, the most beautiful hot spring beauty and rice beauty contest, and other tourism marketing activities; and took active actions to integrate into great East Hunan tourism economic belt and work together with Danxia Mountain and Jinggangshan to development more tourism lines. Rucheng established to be “hot spring county of China” and “one-thousand-year ancient county” successfully. Reshui town established to be national characteristic landscape tourism town, national livable small town, and Hunan provincial beautiful town. Reshui Tanghe old street district established to be national livable district successfully.

With all the efforts, the fame and popularity of Rucheng county’s popular tourism were being upgraded greatly, which attracted many visitors. During 2016 Spring Festival, the landscapes of Rucheng county were very hot. Besides Reshui Hot Spring, Jiulongjiang National Forest Park, and other landscapes, Lianxi Academy, ancient ancestral hall, Donggangling, Longhudong, Feishuizhai, Baiyunxian, and other scenic spots were extremely hot.
