“According to the notice released by the State Housing and Construction Ministry that Rucheng county was qualified as ‘national garden county’, which helped to provide a golden plate for Rucheng county’s further development of tourism industry,” gladly said by an official of Rucheng county. The official also said that the county would place more efforts on garden city construction to improve it to be livable and tourism county.
Rucheng county is located in the intersection of Nanling Mountain and Luoxiao Mountain, which grants it with elegant ecology and environment. In recent years, it focused on the development orientation of “constructing modern landscape and hot spring city, improving ecology, Neo-Confucianism and fitness” and tried all efforts on promoting the gardening and greening work to carry out the work of establishment of national garden county. Starting from figuring the planning of gardening and greening work and measures, it followed the general layout of “one belt & two circles, six rivers and ten gardens” and integrated local traditional Neo-Confucianism to build more than 30 landscapes in 3 years with over 200million yuan investment.
Rucheng county played the best advantages of its national ecology to advocate saving type green land construction, carry out vertical greening based on its practical condition, enhance the maintenance of ancient and famous trees, popularize the suitable trees plantation, and promote the integrated regulation of urban environment. At the meantime, it placed more investments on municipal engineering as water, electricity, road, gad, communications, and etc., which greatly helped to improve city function.
Fang Nanling- Secretary of Rucheng County Party Committee introduced that with great efforts of Rucheng people, the county was improved to be with elegant image. Currently, there are 71,000 people in county downtown where is about 9 square kilometers big. The green land areas and park green land areas are 326.7hectares and 73.63hectares respectively. Greening coverage rate is 39.05%. Per capita park green land areas are 10.37 square meters.
