Thanks to the sound weather, a large group of visitors enjoyed a nice trip in Dadong village, Oujiang town, Guidong county recently. They were highly impressed with the beautiful sceneries of the county.

In recent years, Guidong county highlighted “symbiotic effect” of overall development of urban and rural areas. It kept following the concept of “coordinate” development to promote the overall development and establish the sustainable development pattern. It highlighted its ecological advantages, paid special attention on figuring scientific, humanized, and characteristic planning, and handled overall structure of space, scale, and industry, overall arrangement of planning, construction, and management, overall plan of reform, technology, and culture, and overall layout of production, life, and ecology. All of these helped to form the main pattern of county development as “one core, two wings, and three poles”. One core refers to the core of county downtown; two wings refer to eastern and western wing of downtown system relying on ready G106 (connection line of Yueru expressway) and S351 arterial highway, and future S352 arterial highway (Houjingshi- Jinagximen) and Guixin expressway; and three poles refer to three new economic increasing poles as Qingquan, Shatian, and Sidu town.

Followed the concept of establishing “high efficient production space, livable living space, and elegant ecological space” characteristic county, it carried forward construction experience, taste, and level, and upgraded the standards and expanded the scale of construction. It paid special attention on improving the county to be a beautiful county with historical memories, folk cultures, and national features; highlighted the construction of industrial accumulation zone, ecological demonstration, and small town construction demonstration along G106; accelerated the construction of national key town and national organic town demonstration of Shantian town, Hunan provincial characteristic town of Sidu town, industrial key town of Datang town, hot spring characteristic town of Pule town, flower and seedling industrial town of Zhaiqian town, and tea industrial town of Qingquan and Qiaotou town; and improved the infrastructure condition of Sidu, Xinfang, Dongluo, Qingshan and some other small towns. All of these helped to establish small town clusters with reasonable layout, distinctive feature, prominent taste, and complementary development. The urbanization of the county was greatly upgraded, which granted the small towns with “beautiful new images”.
