It was learned an experts evaluation team led by Zhang Linwei who is the Deputy Director of Urban Construction Department of the State Housing Ministry checked Chenzhou City’s establishment work on national water-saving city. In the summary conference held in the afternoon of December 2, 2016, the team announced that Chenzhou City past the checking and acceptance of national water-saving city.

During the checking period, the team visited 14 enterprises, departments, and communities of Chenzhou City, such as Chenzhou Education Bureau, Dongtian Jinwan, Chenzhou Vocational College, Jinwang Bismuth, and etc.

After the detailed checking, the evaluation team considered that Chenzhou City well met the evaluation criteria on establishing national water-saving city and approved that Chenzhou City’s establishment of national water-saving city. The team will follow specified procedure to submit the result for final approval of the State Housing Ministry and the State Development and Reform Commission.

After watching some videos and listening to the working reports delivered by Chenzhou City, the evaluation team suggested Chenzhou City to placing more efforts on waste water control and upgrading of water resource utilization.

Zhang Linwei said the relative departments should well comprehend the serious water safety situation of China and try best to form scientific and reasonable urban water resource management system by innovating mechanism, improving system, setting typical example, and establishing team. All the achievements reached on the establishment of water-saving city should be protected. More attention should be kept placing on improving the water-saving management institutions and functions and implementing the water-saving work for a long term.

Liu Zhiwei who is the member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of Chenzhou Commissions of Politics and Law, and Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City stated that Chenzhou City would enhance the understanding and leadership of water-saving work, improve the propaganda work, upgrade the working level, and forge new “name card” of Chenzhou City by establishing national water-saving city.
