Guiyang County is located at the north foot of Nanling Mountains and by the side of Chongling River, boasting a thousand-year history and abundant culture.
According to Ci Hai, the largest comprehensive dictionary in China, Guiyang has kept its name and location unchanged for two thousand years. Guiyang, covering an area of 2,959 square kilometers, now has a population of nearly one million, striving for the development relying on its history and culture.

Besides, the stories about the Red Army soldiers who took a rest in Lishan Mountain without disturbing the local villagers and Ouyang Hai who sacrificed himself to push a horse standing on a track away in order to avoid a train accident have been passed down from generation to generation. It also enjoys the worldwide reputations of “land of eight treasures” and “home to non-ferrous metals”.
Guiyang county boasts pleasant living environment and beautiful landscape with Chongling River, one tributary of Xiangjiang River, running through it, and a number of mountains like Qitian Ridge, Fucang Mountain, Tanshan Mountain, Sizhou Mountain and Tiantang Mountain. In addition, it enjoys very convenient transportation with Bejing-Guangzhou high-speed railway, Xiamen-Chengdu expressway and the double line of Beijing-Zhuhai expressway passing by, and Chenzhou Beihu Airport and Chenzhou high-speed railway station in the vicinity. It only takes about 1 hour’s ride from Guiyang to Changsha or Guangzhou.
