The Rural Culture and Tourism Festival will be held at the end of July in Yangtian Lake Grassland, Beihu District. It will include various activities such as South Yoga Conference, the Third South Camping Conference, 2021 China Outdoor Fitness and Leisure Conference, short video competition of local food, and cultural and creative product competition.

 

It will deeply integrate the Beihu District's tourism with local culture, sports, health and agriculture, achieve a combination of cultural tourism and rural revitalization, and promote the night economy of cultural tourism as well as the development of cultural tourism industry.

 

The journalists were deeply impressed by the beautiful scenery, folk culture of Yao nationality and Hunan Kunqu Opera.

 

 

 

Yangtian Lake, a natural oxygen bar, is surrounded by mountains and boasts a prairie, sea of clouds, starry sky and windmills, with an altitude of 1,314 meters and an annual average temperature of 20 degrees. It’s a good place worth checking out, with azalea blossoms and lush mountains in spring, fresh air and cool weather in summer, maple leaves and unique stones in autumn, and snow in winter.

 

 

 

There are local special foods like Yao rice flower fish, dried beef, hill chicken, farmhouse bacon, taro, pumpkin, green vegetables, blood duck, and mountain cold water rice. What you can see here are lush mountains, lucid waters, green bamboos and rice flowers, without being bothered by car trumpets and haze.

 

 

 

Xiaobu Ancient Village of Baohe Yao Township in Beihu District was built by those who came here along the ancient road during the year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty. It is well preserved in terms of history, regionalism, culture, integrity and architecture and becomes a famous ecological park after the reconstruction.

 

 

 

Wanghuayan Scenic Spot is a large underground karst cave with fresh air and a stable temperature of about 19 degrees in all seasons. There are fascinating waterfalls in the cave with underground streams running through and unique stones like real fowls and beasts. Men of letters had left many poems, inscriptions and travel notes in the past thousands of years to praise the karst cave.

 

Hunan kunqu Opera, one of the "ten cultural symbols" of Chenzhou and a branch of Kunqu art, is famous at home and abroad. Hunan Kunqu Opera Troupe, located on Renmin West Road, Beihu District, sorted out more than 60 plays and more than 200 gorgeous excerpts. Some traditional excerpts like "Wu Song Kills Sister-in-law" and "Drunk fighting on Wutai Mountain" have been performed in large and medium-sized cities in China as well as London, Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Turkmenistan and Northern Ireland for many times.
