Yuhou Street is built in the Qin and Han Dynasties, with a history of more than 2,200 years. It is a cradle of Chenzhou’s history and culture and the most representative place of southern Hunan culture and Chenzhou characteristics. The street, after renovation, has become a comprehensive cultural and commercial street integrating trade, catering, culture, art, tourism, entertainment and other elements. Since its opening in 2013, it has successively won a number of honorary titles such as national "Urban Central Leisure Area", Chenzhou’s Demonstration Street for Business Integrity, 2020 China's Best Cultural Tourism Project and so on. 

 

 

In 2021, the management committee of Yuhou Street has made great efforts to create a provincial characteristic demonstration pedestrian street. It has formulated a renovation scheme and made a clearer future development plan of the block. It has cooperated with Hunan Construction Engineering Group to guide merchants on the street to contribute their part to block environment, commercial quality and smart block, thus creating a provincial tourism and leisure block. Now, the block has taken on a new look. It has a larger brand cluster, various business types and smarter management and services, improving people’s satisfaction. 

 

 

Next, it will continue to follow the market orientation, highlight the block’s characteristics, preserve historical features and serve for people's livelihood. It will promote the stable and orderly upgrading of Yuhou Street toward and advance its sustainable, high-quality and healthy development.
