Recently, Deng Hua’s former residence has been rated as a national 3A scenic spot. It is located in Beifu village, Lutang town, Beihu district. Verdant camphor trees and gray-tile houses form a beautiful pastoral picture. The renovated former residence will bring tourists a new experience.
The renovation project of Deng Hua’s former residence will cover a planned area of 11.12 hectares with the investment of about 82.7 million yuan. The project includes comprehensive renovation of Beifu village, quality improvement and reconstruction of village roads, renovation of Deng Hua’s former residence, etc, aiming to build a demonstration village for rural revitalization.
Now, the reconstruction of the new village committee, quality improvement of the general square and comprehensive improvement of the village have been completed.
The exhibition hall of general Deng Hua’s life and achievements is expected to open in late January this year.
With the concerted efforts from all parties, experts were invited to design and create an “idyllic” former residence of Deng Hua.
What’s more, developing the red cultural tourism industry and distinctive agricultural industry in the village are the most important. 13.33 hectares of grape plantations were built to create an experiential agricultural tourism base integrating sightseeing and picking.
A red education and training base, Beihu District Party School Branch was built to attract Party members and cadres, and primary and secondary school students in urban areas, as well as tourists to learn Deng Hua’s deeds and understand the revolutionary spirits.
Centering on Deng Hua’s former residence, the project will connect Xiaobu, Wanhuayan, Yangtian Lake and other surrounding scenic spots to integrate into the provincial and municipal red boutique tourist routes, in a bid to be an important provincial and municipal red education and training base.
Now, the former residence is a popular red tourist attraction. While developing rural revitalization via red culture, it has also strengthened the construction of people-benefiting projects, promoted red inheritance and green development. It’s committed to creating a comfortable, safe and convenient living environment, and improving the living standards of local residents.
After completion, this project will drive the development of agritainment, distinctive vegetable and fruit planting and other industries, create 156 jobs for locals, and increase farmers’ income.
