In recent years, Suxian District has seen the development of all-for-one tourism, and the upgrade of the culture, tourism and health care industry. In 2020, it received 6.966 million tourists and realized a total tourism income of 6.29 billion yuan, an increase of 45% and 39.4% respectively over 2015.

 

Gaoyiling tourist area in Suxian District is open to the public. Tiantang thermal spring, which is a national 4A scenic spot, has resumed business. Chenzhou Changjuan Leisure Area has become a good place for citizens to wander and relax.

 

Yuhou Street has successfully become a national "urban central leisure area", a provincial tourism and leisure block and a provincial historical and cultural block. It has been selected as the "2020 China's best cultural and tourism project", and has successfully become a provincewide tourism demonstration area and a key county with high-quality tourist routes in Hunan Province.

 

Suxian District is rich in cultural and tourism resources and has enjoyed the reputation of "beautiful mountains and rivers in southern Hunan" since ancient times.

 

Around the "one park, two areas and three corridors" (one park: Feitian mountain-Gaoyiling cultural and tourism integration industrial park. Two areas: Tiantang thermal spring - Health Resort and Wugaishan forest summer resort. Three Corridors: Chenjiang urban cultural and tourism consumption corridor, Xihe rural ecological sightseeing corridor and Hunan-Guangdong ancient road red culture theme corridor), the district seeks to develop leisure, red and rural tourism, promote the tourism brand of " Danxia with clear water and Suxian, a blessed land ", and create a national global tourism demonstration area, making Suxian District a world-class tourist destination.

 

 

 

Suxian District gives priority to upgrading the Feitian mountain-Gaoyiling cultural and tourism integration industrial park so as to stimulate new vitality of tourism.

 

In addition, through learning the successful development experience from Langshan Mountain, Danxia Mountain and other scenic spots, taking the opportunity of CCTV's successful recording of "Singing the New Era" in Feitian Mountain and the shooting of the red film “Half A Quilt”, and combined with the features of Danxia landform, it is assisting Beijing Shunfeng group to accelerate the development of Gaoyiling tourist area. It also increases efforts to promote night trips on Cuijiang River, sightseeing trains and other projects. It is also pushing to strengthen the management of Cuijiang River Basin, protect key geological relics, and open the park in Gaoyiling area on May 1.

 

All these will lay a solid foundation for Feitian mountain-Gaoyiling cultural tourism integration industrial park to be a 5A scenic spot Suxian District focuses on the development of "two zones" to improve the new supply of tourism and to connect thermal springs with red history.

 

It makes great efforts to attract powerful private enterprises and promote the construction of 711 meritorious uranium mine red tourism culture industrial park. It is seeking for financial support from the State Administration of cultural relics and assisting the Huaxiang Community Management Committee in preparing maintenance, display and exhibition plans to build a new 711 uranium mine patriotism education exhibition hall.

 

Many projects are progressing.

 

The Barcelona Hotel and Women's Volleyball deeds exhibition hall, Xujiadong red thermal spring demonstration area, and Tiantang thermal spring-711 Health Resort which is designed to be a patriotic education and research base for young people from Hong Kong and Macao are under construction. It will improve transportation facilities, such as the construction of S207 line and regional tourism roads, and build a more convenient tourism transportation network.

 

 

 

Attention has been paid to environmental protection and tourism development as a whole.

 

Under the principle of sustainable development, it scientifically delimited thebasic farmland, ecological red line and Nature Reserve in the flat terrain of Wugai Mountain area, so as to improve the use efficiency of tourism development land.

 

It makes full use of the rich forest and climate resources of Wugai mountain, and focuses on the development of the following projects such as international hunting ground, ski resort, leisure vacation base, forest health base in Wugai mountain in order to be listed as a National 4A Tourist Attraction within five years.

 

 

 

Suxian District focuses on the integrated development of "three corridors " and expands new tourism space. It will build demonstration streets, cultivate a batch of well-known brands and develop night tour routes around areas at Suxianling, Yuhou Street, Happy Coast and Old Street when Chenzhou is striving to be one of the first batch of national pilot cities for cultural and tourism consumption.
