More than 30,000 cherry blossom trees of 8 varieties grow in the garden with a core area of 300 mu (20 hectares) and a total planting area of nearly 1,000 mu (about 66.67 hectares). 

 

In recent years, Guiyang County Agricultural Science Research Institute has managed to develop a new tourist route allowing tourists to enjoy different flowers in four seasons, like cherry blossoms in Spring, lotus flowers in Summer, Muhlenbergia capillaris in Autumn and maple leaves in Winter. This has become a symbol of local ecological tourism.
