Yizhang County has focused on the improvement of infrastructure and built many barrier-free facilities for the disabled in Mangshan Scenic Spot in recent years. It was the first barrier-free mountain scenic spot in China.

 

 

Wuzhifeng Scenic Spot in Mangshan Mountain with the theme of barrier-free tourism is jointly invested by the local government of Yizhang County, and Zhongjingxin Tourism Investment and Development Group. The project was started in May 2018 and finished in October 2019, with the investment of 3 billion yuan.

 

 

Xiang Zicheng, vice president of China Disabled Persons’ Federation, speaks highly of the barrier-free facilities in Mangshan, including cableway, plank road, escalator, elevator and others. The equipment helps the disabled realize their dream of reaching the top of the mountain.

 

 

Wuzhifeng Mountain has received 86,000 visitors over the age of 60 and 5,500 people with disabilities, including 725 people with severe physical disabilities since the barrier free system was put into operation on August 31, 2020, which makes many people with disabilities and the elderly able to enjoy the beautiful scenery on the top.
