Mangshan Mountain is located in Yizhang County, Chenzhou City, Central China’s Hunan Province, with a total area of 20,000 hectares. It’s the largest forest park in the province, boasting a virgin forest of 6,000 hectares. Ancient gymnosperms such as Chinese yew and amentotaxus argotaenia abound in the mountain; some wild animals under national protection are also found in the forest. 

 

With mild climate and rich resources, it’s known as “the green pearl in the same latitude belt of the earth” and “gene bank of animals and plants”.

Mangshan Mountain also has many foreign fans. The foreign media Teller Report once reported its beautiful sea of clouds in the sun in the early winter. 

 

On an American travel website Things to Do, the ratings from users show overall satisfaction for Mangshan Mountain, with 42% thinking it “Very Good”. 

 

 

The scenery of Mangshan Mountain also appears on TikTok, a popular short video platform, attracting many netizens who are stunned by its beauty. 

 

In recent years, Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area has actively explored barrier-free tourism, and it became a reality for people in wheelchairs to climb the mountain. 

 

 

A barrier-free tour channel was built in Wuzhifeng Scenic Spot in Mangshan Mountain to facilitate the disabled with multiple barrier-free facilities such as cableway, elevator and self-service climbing machine at an altitude of 1,400 to 1,600 meters. 

 

In addition, Mangshan is striving to be a national 5A scenic area, with 12 projects to improve its tourist service under construction.
