The first batch of starred “Forest Resorts” was released by the provincial forestry bureau on July 12, including 2 five-star Forest Resorts and 21 four-star Forest Resorts.

Forest Resort is a place that provides visitors with catering, accommodation and entertainment services with forest characteristics based on a good forest environment and recreational landscape, and is also a brand of healthy and leisure forest tourism promoted by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration.

In October, 2021, the provincial forestry bureau launched the star rating of Forest Resorts. After recommendation, third-party evaluation and review, Dawei Mountain Forest Hotel in Liuyang City and Shennongwan Holiday Villa in Yanling County were rated as five-star Forest Resorts.

In terms of four-star Forest Resorts, there are 7 in Hengyang, 4 in Changsha, 3 in Chenzhou, 2 in Zhuzhou and Zhangjiajie, 1 in Yueyang, Changde and Loudi respectively.
