In recent years, Guidong County of Chenzhou City, situated at the southern part of Luoxiao Mountains, has become a well-known summer resort by virtue of its average elevation of 890 meters, forest coverage rate of 85%, average temperature of 23.7℃ in summer and negative oxygen ion content far above average.

Ziyunxuan Homestay Inn at Jindong Village is usually overbooked from July to September. Most of visitors book the hotel one month in advance.

In villages of Guidong, there are square dances, variety shows, exchanges on processing skills of Linglong Tea, photo display themed with revolutionary history, Tai Chi training and so on, offering a cultural feast for tourists.
 

At present, tourists from Changsha, Guangdong and Hengyang are continuously pouring in Guidong, and licence plates from other cities can be seen everywhere in the county, making the county a big hit this summer.

Now it is hard to find a vacant room in Guidong as about 10,000 tourists have packed about 600 local homestay inns.
