In order to boost the 2022 Chenzhou Tourism Development Conference and create a 5-A tourism attraction in Mangshan Mountain, the first forest-themed Earth Art Festival in Hunan was held recently, in a bid to attract more tourists to Mangshan Mountain and Chenzhou by empowering rural revitalization with art.
The Earth Art Festival is designed to inject artistic inspiration into nature. By holding joint workshops and forest art fairs and designing tour routes, the festival aims to improve tourists’ experience and realize the perfect integration of natural scenery and rural culture.
The festival has initiated the recruitment of artists since July and set up four art exhibition areas, including three major outdoor exhibition areas in Zhongjia Village, Houwang Village and Jiangjun Village as well as a few indoor exhibition areas.
More than 30 masterpieces co-created by 16 artists will be exhibited to present the installation art, spatial art and painting art. Some artistic works have been completed up to now and more will be successively unveiled in August. While enjoying the breathtaking natural scenery of Mangshan Mountain, tourists can experience how artists employ art as a bridge to connect humanity and nature.
Meanwhile, based on the Earth Art Festival, activities like art summer camp study tour, “Thanks to Villagers” art photographic exhibition, art and culture show of Yao nationality, children’s oil painting exhibition and art fair will be launched in succession, enabling tourists to have more interactions with art.
