August 4 is the traditional Chinese Valentine’s Day. 20 couples had a romantic and special collective wedding ceremony on horseback in Chenzhou Yangtian Lake Scenic Area.

 

 

The event began at 10: 10 a.m. (ten means perfect in Chinese). Its theme is “simple love for life in Beihu Lake”, which means the new couples have simple marriages in Beihu Lake but they will love each other forever.

 

On the stage of Yangtian Lake Grassland, the red carpet and archway were lined with flowers and the newlyweds exchanged rings and kissed accompanied with the music “Wedding March”.

 

They read their wedding vows and signed their names on the wedding culture reform wall. Their sincere love was witnessed by the blue sky and green grass.

 

Later, the brides got on their horses which were led by the grooms to the landmark of 1314 (which means forever in Chinese) in Yangtian Lake Grassland. The grassland at an altitude of 1,314 meters and the blue sky all make their love even more beautiful.

 

 

The brides and grooms embraced each other with smiles. They took photos in the dreamy Hobbit Hut, sparkling lakeside and other attractions to record their memories. They made their love vows together in front of the giant Buddha and left their romantic stories on the horseback.

 

The newlyweds said that it was very romantic to hold their wedding in Yangtian Lake Grassland at an altitude of 1,314 meters. Riding a horse on the grassland with so many people's blessing is the most unforgettable experience in life.

 

This was far more than a wedding ceremony, and it was a meeting of promoting  the pilot wedding reform in Beihu District to enrich the connotation of traditional festival culture and further deepen the wedding reform.
