Hunan’s tourism industry sees stable recovery in H1 of 2022

According to the press conference of the 2022 Hunan Culture and Tourism Industry Expo held recently, Hunan Province achieved brilliant results and led the country in tourist reception and tourism revenue in the first half of this year, with the figures rebounding to 85% of the level in 2019.
Since the summer vacation, Hunan has seen many good results in tourism. For example, tourists have to queue up late at night to admire the sunrise in the Yuelu Mountain. On August 2, Zhangjiajie’s scenic areas received more than 76,000 tourists in total.
In the first six months of 2022, Hunan received 171 million domestic and foreign tourists, and generated a tourism revenue of more than 257 billion yuan. These two figures were respectively 6.1 and 9.7 percentage points higher than the national average.
In summer, the province’s tourist products are popular. As of July 31, 2022, the online products in the province had been supplied 2.0563 million times, up 48.58% compared with the same period last year.
