Recently, an entertainment base was opened in Shizishan Village, Wugaishan Town, where tourists can go camping and have a barbecue with their friends or family members, enjoying the natural scenery. 

 

The Phase I camping project covers an area of about 11 mu (about 7,333 square meters), built on a stepped site and with a total of 27 tents now. Other facilities like folding tables and chairs, shelves and barbecue ovens are available. While enjoying the beauty of nature closely, tourists can also watch the band performance, brilliant fireworks show and the stars. 

 

Shizishan Village was once a provincial-level poverty-stricken village, and local villagers mainly engaged in traditional breeding. Due to the remote location, underdeveloped transportation and backward infrastructure, it was weak in industrial development and local villagers had to rely on the weather for a low income. 

 

In recent years, the local government has invested 4 million yuan to build infrastructure, and vigorously develop rural tourism by making full use of its unique natural resources. It has also carried out in-depth cooperation with social capitals to build entertainment projects, making Shizishan Village more popular. 

 

Since the beginning of this year, Suxian District has seized the new opportunity of camping tourism, and built camping bases with distinctive themes and diversified styles, attracting many tourists. This year, the number of rural tourists in Suxian District has reached 1.386 million, accounting for about 56% of the total number of tourists in the district.
