Two chartered high-speed trains from Hong Kong and Macao arrived in Chenzhou on March 11. The tourist group from Macao, consisting of 246 people, took the high-speed train from Zhuhai and arrived at Chenzhou West Station at 11:07. The tourist group from Hong Kong made up of 312 people took the high-speed train from Shenzhen and arrived at 12:00.
The Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television & Sports held a warm welcoming ceremony for the tourists from the Greater Bay Area. The stunning performance of Hunan Kun Opera, an intangible cultural heritage item, and the local specialties as a present, made them feel like coming home.
They have been the first tourists from Hong Kong and Macao received by Chenzhou since 2020.
These tourists will visit Chenzhou for three days and two nights, going to scenic spots like Dongjiang Lake, Wuzhi Peak in Mangshan Mountain and Gaoyi Ridge.
