Immersive activities, including ancient art performances and singing and dancing shows were interspersed throughout the event, allowing visitors to embark on a peony journey, get immersed in the beauty of peonies, elegant music, and ancient culture.

 

 

In the peony garden of Dingxin Village in Chonglingjiang Town, peonies are blooming one after another, displaying a variety of gestures in all their nobility, grace, and elegance.

 

The sweet voices, exquisite performances and elegant costumes of the performers showed the grace and delicacy of Hunan Opera, presenting the audience with the beauty of traditional Eastern culture. 

 

 

Art lovers painted and sketched the enchanting scenes in between the flowers, depicting the happiness, peace, prosperity, and abundance of peonies in a fascinating way with their excellent painting skills.

 

The Peony Garden of Dingxin Village is located in the Sizhou Mountain National Stone Desert Park in Guiyang County, which is a large-scale rocky landform belonging to the karst bare rock hill. 

 

 

In 2017, the local government introduced peonies from Henan Province and developed a hundred-mu peony garden. Now, there are more than 30,000 peony plants of nearly 10 different varieties, including Dan Furnace Red, Zhao Pink, Lotus Peony and Silver Red Coquille Pair, which can not only help to prevent desertification but also promote the development of rural tourism.

 

The festival features six sub-events, including the Cheongsam Show, Hunan Opera Performance, Art Creation Exhibition, Traditional Hanfu Garden Party, Pottery and Flower Art Exhibition, and the Flower and Plant Science Exhibition.

 

The event will last for 20 days, providing a rich cultural feast for the general public.
