In March, peach blossoms are in full bloom in the Yanziyan Scenic Area of Mangshan Mountain in Yizhang County, attracting tourists in droves.
The beauty of the peach blossoms has not only improved the ecological environment, but also increased local villagers’ income.
On March 5, 226 residents from 49 households in Yanziyan Natural Village of Tianzishan Village, Tiantang Town, where the scenic area is located, received a dividend of over 150,000 yuan, the second dividend this year.
Cao Yan, a woman born in the 1980s in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, who married a man of the village in 2011, now works in the scenic area, helping to manage the go-kart track. Working in the village not only allows her to take care of her family, but also gives her a daily income of 100 yuan.
Yanziyan Natural Village is less than 15 kilometers away from Mangshan Mountain National Forest Park, and the Huangsha-Mangshan Tourist Road runs through it, giving it a unique transportation and resource advantage.
In recent years, Tianzishan Village has invested over 60 million yuan to develop rural tourism, with such tourism projects as peach blossom garden, karst cave restaurant, go-kart, rainbow slide, starry sky house, and roller coaster.
The development of rural tourism in Tianzishan Village has achieved remarkable results, not only because of the active participation of the villagers, but also the support of the government and financial institutions. Currently, there are three or four banks working with the scenic area, two of which offer an unsecured loan of 10 million yuan for an enterprise and a loan of 500,000 yuan for a household.
Taking advantage of the 2nd Hunan Tourism and Development Conference to be hosted by Chenzhou City, the whole village has been working together to speed up the construction of the projects and improve the appearance of the village.
Tianzishan Village has found its own way to develop rural tourism, which not only brings tangible benefits to villagers and boosts their morale, but also contributes to rural revitalization.
