Chenzhou ranks second for tourists reception in Hunan Province

On May 4, Chenzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Ratio, Television and Sports announced that during the May Day holiday, Chenzhou City had received a total of 1,732,700 tourists, a year-on-year increase of 127.87%, and achieved the tourism revenue of 1.839 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 132.77%. The city ranked second for both the number of tourists and tourism revenue, third for the growth rate of tourist arrivals, and second for the growth rate of tourism revenue in the province.
During the May Day holiday, the Dongjiang Lake Tourist Area, Dongjiang Bay Tourist Resort, and Gaoyi Ridge Tourist Area in Chenzhou City ranked among the top 10 in terms of tourists reception in Hunan Province. The Dongjiang Lake Tourist Area, Mangshan Mountain National Forest Park, Gaoyi Ridge Tourist Area, and Yangtian Lake Grassland Scenic Area also ranked among the top 10 in terms of the ticket revenue in the province.
34 monitored A-level scenic areas achieved a revenue of 271 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 402.59%. 33 monitored accommodation businesses received a total of 38,716 tourists, a year-on-year increase of 72.22%, achieving a revenue of 17,650,187 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 120.81%.
In addition to tourists from the Greater Bay Area and the surrounding areas of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan area, there were also many tourists from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangxi, and so on. According to statistics, 80% tourists in the main scenic areas of Chenzhou City came from other places. During the May Day holiday, all the high-speed rail tickets to Chenzhou were sold out.
