Mangshan Gorge Rafting annually received 100,000 tourists from Hunan, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangxi, Jiangxi and other provinces. The development of Mangshan Gorge Rafting not only creates jobs for the locals, but also promotes local economic development. According to Pu Minglin, head of Chenzhou Xiangyu Tourism Development Co., Ltd., the company would make full use of the resources of Mangshan, and step up the construction of infrastructure to improve the quality of the scenic area. Also, they would focus on building the indoor hot spring water park project of Mangshan Water World to help the locals increase income and empower rural revitalization.
