Hunan’s cultural and tourism market has seen a rapid recovery since the COVID-19 restrictions were fully lifted. In the first half of this year, Chenzhou City received 400,000 tourists from home and abroad. During the seven-day Spring Festival holiday, Chenzhou received about 40,000 tourists from all over the country, an increase of 460% compared with the Spring Festival in 2022.

 

Chenzhou, as the “south gate” of Hunan, attracts many tourists from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. With tourists from the Greater Bay Area keeping pouring in, and the summer peak tourism season around the corner, it is expected that more than 300,000 tourists from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will visit the Gaoyi Ridge Scenic Area this year.
