Mangshan Mountain, renowned as the “Number One Primitive Ecological Mountain in China”, stands as the largest expanse of virgin forest at its latitude on Earth. It holds the prestigious titles of being among the first 14 major natural landscapes in the country, a national forest park, a national-level nature reserve, and a national 4A-level tourist attraction.

 

 

Within the scenic area, a tapestry of awe-inspiring mountains, enchanting waters, serene forests, and peculiar rock formations unfolds. Majestic peaks adorned with lush greenery are interlaced with meandering streams and verdant valleys.

 

With an astounding concentration of negative oxygen ions, measuring an impressive 106,900 per cubic centimeter, Mangshan Mountain provides an exquisite natural oxygen zone. The five prominent attractions within the area include Wuzhi Peak, Monkey King Village, General’s Village, Tiantai Mountain, and Mengkeng Stone.

 

Among these remarkable features, the delegation eagerly set out to experience the wonders of Wuzhi Peak. While scorching heat blankets the mountain’s foothills, a refreshing coolness permeates the summit, offering an idyllic respite amidst the sweltering summer months.

 

 

Following the boardwalks and stone pathways, the journalists embarked on a leisurely journey, pausing intermittently to capture the most breathtaking vistas. At times, the mountaintop is veiled in mist and clouds, only to reveal its resplendent beauty when the fog dissipates, exposing the stunning peaks against the backdrop of a clear, azure sky.

 

After a stroll spanning over two hours, the interview team descended from Tiantai Mountain, preparing themselves for an exhilarating drifting adventure. In search of an invigorating summer escapade in Yizhang County, Mangshan drifting emerges as the perfect complement to the majesty of Wuzhi Peak.

 

The crystal-clear waters of the Mangshan Grand Canyon drifting boast exceptional quality, earning the moniker of “surfing in mineral water”. This extraordinary drifting experience boasts the highest drop in the country, with a staggering total descent of 298 meters. Throughout the course, adventurers encounter 25 thrilling rapids, traverse 18 natural treacherous stretches, negotiate 36 winding bends, and encounter 6 water cannons playfully dotting the landscape.

 

 

As the journalists immersed themselves in the excitement of the drifting, the torrents of rushing water surged one after another. Within a fleeting moment engulfed by the currents, their adrenaline skyrocketed, enhanced by the playful camaraderie among fellow drifters, rendering this journey an unparalleled thrill.

 

While immersing themselves in the enchanting cultural and tourism projects offered by Mangshan Mountain, many journalists also keenly observed the burgeoning developments in the surrounding regions. At the construction site of the S215 Highway (Phase I) which connects the Mangshan Mountain National Forest Park, Wuzhi Peak Scenic Area, and Layuan Ancient Village, numerous workers toiled tirelessly to expedite the construction progress.

 

According to project manager Xiong Zhaobo, the endeavor has reached an impressive 50% completion thus far. Tunnels have been excavated, accumulating a total of 373 meters, albeit at a slower pace due to complex geological conditions and other factors. The greening of the roadbed slopes for Phase I has been successfully accomplished. Currently, a reverse scheduling and battle map system is being implemented, meticulously detailing work assignments on a weekly, daily, and team basis.

 

Simultaneously, the construction progress of the Mangshan 5A Scenic Area series project stands at an impressive 90%, paralleled by the Yiliu Hot Spring Resort project’s attainment of the same milestone. These projects, showcased as part of the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference, diligently advance with punctuality and unwavering commitment to quality, effectively highlighting the zealous efforts exerted by Chenzhou City in hosting this grand event.
